But wait, what is a scene build artist?
Animated scenes consist of many different parts – the background picture, the characters, props, foreground elements and also the audio track containing the character voices and sound effects.
As a scene build artist you will be responsible for collecting all these parts, putting them together in the right order and then creating the actual look of the shot by placing the characters in the right position and using the camera to create a beautifully composed scene ready for the animators.
This is all done in industry standard software called Toonboom Harmony. Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of it. That’s what this course is for!
Do you love watching cartoons or playing video games?
Are you an enthusiastic, hard worker with an eye for detail and keen to learn?
Then this course is for you!
We actively encourage you to apply if you come from a group that is under represented in the TV industry. This includes, but is not limited to, Black, Asian and ethnically diverse candidates, neurodivergent & disabled people and people from the LGBTQ+ community; those not in education, employment or training; under employed or people on zero hours contracts.
(Participants must be UK residents and over 18 to apply)
